About Coach Po

Patosha “Coach Po” Jeffery educates girls basketball players, parents and coaches about the recruitment process in order to help them have a better understanding. 

Coach Po has experience as a Division 1 Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, a Travel Basketball Head Coach, Middle School Basketball Head Coach, NCAA-Certified Tournament and Camp Operator, NCAA-Certified Scouting Report Publisher, League Operator and Skills Trainer.

She has helped hundreds of players accomplish their dream of playing college basketball from players she has personally recruited, personally coached, played in her NCAA-Certified Events, played in her basketball league and published in her scouting report or website, MemphisGirlsBasketball.com

She was a Division 1 women’s basketball assistant coach at the University of Southern Mississippi (Southern Miss) from 2018-2023. During her final season at Southern Miss, the Lady Eagles nabbed a share of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Regular Season Title with a 13-5 SBC record and finished overall 21-10. During her 5 year tenure, Coach Po coached a Conference Freshman of the Year, Conference Newcomer of the Year, Conference Pre-Season Player of the Year and four 1,000 point career earners.

Before becoming a college coach, Coach Po was the founder of Patosha Jeffery Basketball, a girls basketball performance development company dedicated to helping players understand basketball in order to play at a high level and possibly at the collegiate level. Patosha Jeffery Basketball started with a focus on skills development and grew into offering camps, tournaments, and a league. 

She published MemphisGirlsBasketball.com, a dedicated resource to all things related to basketball in Memphis, TN, from 2008-2018. 

She also published The PJ Report scouting report, an NCAA approved service for Division 1 women’s basketball college coaches from 2016-2018.

She donated over 3,318 individual bottles of Ensure Nutrition Shakes to the American Cancer Society through her free Granny’s Girls Basketball Camp held from 2008-2017, in honor of her grandmother that died from lung cancer in 2008.

She has authored several books on girls basketball and the recruitment process.

She currently resides in her hometown, Memphis, TN.
