Basketball Highlight: Tamia Jones

Here is the latest highlight video I created for White Station junior (2017 Class) Tamia Jones. This is probably the biggest highlight project I’ve created in terms of the length of footage (I went through 4 games) and because of her talent level.

Tamia is an extremely multidimensional player. She is 5’10 and can play both the guard and post positions. So I wanted to display all the skills she has: short jumper, slashing, ability to guard on the perimeter, athleticism, quick hands, rebounding, transition ball handling and shot blocking.

It Started in a Garage

Amazon.

Apple.

Disney.

Google.

Harley Davidson.

Hewlett-Packard.

All started out of a garage.

Check out this video about JayR. He started cutting hair out of his garage as a 6th grader in order to buy himself a pair of shoes. He wasn’t the best at cutting hair but over time he got better. Now he cuts NBA players and coaches hair like Stephen Curry, DeAndre Jordan and Doc Rivers.

No one really starts out great or big in the beginning. The beginning may be in a bedroom or even a garage. But if you are dedicated and keep getting better, there is no telling how great you can become.

Coaching Philosophy: Patience

Great nuggets for a new coach or a coach with a young team— Have patience!!

“We have to be very patient because it is very important that we don’t go to fast……We have to be very patient in teaching and understanding of how we’ve got to be able to relate those things to our players for understanding…..It’s a process of us learning everyday.”
