College Basketball Academy

Last year, there were a lot of changes to the Division 1 Women’s Basketball recruiting calendar.

One of them was the addition of the College Basketball Academy for women’s basketball. It had been held before for men’s basketball, but never for women’s basketball.

During the last evaluation period of the summer, Division 1 women’s basketball college coaches are allowed to attend the College Basketball Academy ONLY.

Last summer it was held in my hometown, Memphis, TN. It was a big hit for the players that got to attend and for the women’s basketball college coaches.

What is the College Basketball Academy

The College Basketball Academy is 3 events in 1.

Team Pathway – It is a team event where rising 10th and 11th grade teams qualify to participate.

Junior College Pathway – This year they have added a Junior College event for rising sophomores. This is huge!

Individual Pathway – There is an Individual event where Class of 2025 and 2026 players self-nominate to be selected to participate. Changes for this year’s individual event – it is only for rising juniors and seniors. Last year, rising sophomores participated. Also, they have added the participation of International Players.

All 3 events happen at the same time and under 1 roof.
